Short CV

Alexandru received his B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the “Politehnica” University of Timisoara (Romania) in 2011. Since 2011 he has lived and studied in Dortmund, completing the Process Automation module of A&R and receiving his M.Sc in March 2014. Alexandru has been employed at the DYN group since  May 2014. He is researching software solutions for advanced control and monitoring techniques.

Research interests

  • Nonlinear MPC and other optimal control strategies
  • Methods and algorithms for numerical optimization
  • Monitoring of complex processes and NMPC controllers

Research Area 3: Operator interactions. Visualization  and monitoring of the NMPC algorithms, understanding the controller and the optimization results
