Short CV

Clemens Lindscheid studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen. After working in industry on MPC solutions he joined the chair as a junior researcher in August 2015 to work in the MOBOCON project on operator support and monitoring of MPC solutions.

MOBOCON - Integration of the operators:


The main focus of my research is to improve the interaction between advanced optimization based control and the operators through the design of interfaces. Operators have the authority to discard the proposed control moves, if the behavior seems wrong to them and are responsible for a safe and reliable process operation. It is therefore crucial that the operators understand the optimization results and are able to take over control in case of faults.
