Prof. Engell and three of his PhD students attended the 28th European Symposium on Computer Aided Process Engineering in Graz, Austria.

The research is linked to the research projects PRONTO and COPRO and deals with optimal scheduling and shared resource network optimization. The following talks and posters were presented:

  • A heuristic neighborhood search-based approach for the solution of resource-task network scheduling problems, Giancarlo Dalle Ave, Xing Wang, Iiro Harjunkoski, Sebastian Engell
  • A two-stage stochastic programming approach to integrated day-ahead electricity commitment and production scheduling, Egidio Leo, Sebastian Engell
  • Virtual splitting of shared resource networks for price-based coordination with portfolio tariffs, Simon Wenzel, Lukas Samuel Maxeiner, Sebastian Engell
