In this event, they met their former PostDocs, co-operation partners and friends Radoslav Paulen (photo: on the left) and Sergio Lucia (photo: 2nd from left).

The group co-organized two workshops:

  • Real-Time Optimization with Modifier Adaptation
  • Towards Industrial Robust Nonlinear Model Predictive Control

Also, 5 papers were presented:

  • Enforcing Model Adequacy in Real-Time Optimization Via Dedicated Parameter Adaptation
Afaq Ahmad, Martand Singhal, Weihua Gao, Dominique Bonvin and Sebastian Engell
  • Application of Economics Optimizing Control to a Two-Step Transesterification Reaction in a Pilot-Scale Reactive Distillation Column
Daniel Haßkerl, Clemens Lindscheid, Sankaranarayanan Subramanian, Steven Markert, Andrzej Gorak and Sebastian Engell
  • Reliable Iterative RTO of a Continuously Operated Hydroformylation Process
