22.07.2019 – From July 14th to 19th, 2019, Corina Nentwich represented the DYN at the IEEE International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN 2019) in Budapest, Hungary.

01.07.2019 – On June 25, 2019, as part of the course "Sicheres und optimiertes Betreiben von Anlagen in der Chemie- und Pharmaindustrie", the students visited the production site of Covestro AG in Leverkusen.

18.06.2019 – From June 11-14, 2019, Prof. Sebastian Engell and the research associates Sakthi Thangavel and Afaq Ahmad attended the 22nd International Conference on Process Control in Štrbské Pleso, Slovak Republic.

22.05.2019 – On May 22nd, 2019, the Process Dynamics and Operations Group (DYN), had a sensational participation in the annual “Campus-Run” contest at the Technical University of Dortmund.

06.05.2019 – From April 23th to 26th, 2019, part of the DYN group attended the 12th IFAC Symposium on Dynamics and Control of Process Systems, including Biosystems in Florianopolis, Brazil.

A&R project groups presentations


06.03.2019 – On Friday March 1st two groups of Automation and Robotics MSc students successfully presented the results of their project work carried out the past three months at the DYN chair.

04.03.2019 – The PSE project group supervised by the DYN group in WS2018/19 presented their final results on 01.03.2019 at Merck.


Visit from Prof. Ignacio Grossmann


01.02.2019 – From February 4th to 12th , 2019, Professor Ignacio Grossmann from the Carnegie Mellon University, USA, will be visiting the BCI department.


Dr.-Ing. Stefan Krämer nominated as honorary professor


14.11.2018 – On November 14th, 2018, Dr.-Ing. Stefan Krämer received the certificate of the honorary professorship from Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Ursula Gather, rector of the university, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Norbert Kockmann, vice dean of teaching and studies of the department of Biochemical and Chemical Engineering (BCI). Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Engell, the head of the Process Dynamics and Operation group, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kockmann, also congratulated the nominee on behalf of the BCI faculty.
